Fingerprints in Quran

There are more than 6.6 billion people in the world, and each of them having unique fingerprints. How big is the area on your fingertips? 2cm by 2 cm? Can you fit 1000 different designs in 2×2cm area? How about only 1 million? Not to say more than 6 billion… of course it’s an impossible thing to do.

That’s the power of Allah SWT! Verily He is the All Powerful, and everything is Be and It is, for Him. Allah says regarding fingerprints: read more »

Mahmud Abbass’ visit to US means more bombs on Gaza

Since Mahmud Abbas went to US to discuss the Palestine issue with George Bush and Yahud Olmert. Bombs have been raining on Gaza, Hamas controlled region.

Is it what Abbas is discussing with Yahud Olmert? To kill his own brothers (own people)? For some people in this world, you give them power and money, and they will do anything! Don’t they fear God for working with Devil?!

Evil eye, is it true? Can the bracelets protect you?

Is there such a thing as “evil eye”? Can human being harm another by just looking (or staring) enviably at him/her? The answer is yes.

Imam al-Bukhari reported on the authority of Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The effect of an evil eye is a fact.”

If “evil eye” is a fact, then can the evil-eye beads (see above) protect the person from the evil eyes? The answer is “No”. So what is the protection then?

Protection lies with Allah alone. Nothing happens by itself, everything that happens in this world are happening with the Will of Allah. In other words, if Allah lets it happen then it will. Therefore, in order to protect ourselves and our loved ones from the effects of evil eye, we need to make supplication (ask) Allah to always protect us. Because if Allah protects you, nothing can harm you! Absolutely nothing!

more on evil eye here.

Media’s Muslim Portrayal, joke

A man is taking a walk in Central Park in New York. Suddenly he sees a little girl being attacked by a pit bull. He runs over and starts fighting with the dog and succeeds in killing it and saving the girl’s life.

A policeman who has been watching the scene walks over and says: “You are a hero! Tomorrow you can read it in all the newspapers: ‘Brave New Yorker saves the life of little girl’.” The man says: “But I am not a New Yorker!” “Oh, then it will say in all the papers in the morning: ‘Brave American saves life of little girl’.” “But I am not an American,” says the man. “I am a Saudi!”

The next day the newspaper says: “Islamic extremist kills American dog.”

Sami Yusuf - Asma Allah

It’s always encouraged to praise Allah SWT, because all the praises really belong to Allah Almighty. And to send salutations to our beloved prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), because he is the best of the creation. The song is Mash’Allah very good, both vocally and in terms of lyrics.

As for the instruments used and the characters shown in the video clip, it’s an arguable issue for many Muslims. Especially those who are not practicing Islam (i.e praying five times) and those who are not veiling themselves (i.e wearing hijab (headscarf)) will say that it’s acceptable to do such things in Islam. But saying simply haram (prohibited) without the explanation will too, cause many backlashes from the public.

A Muslim, who follows the commands of Allah SWT, and whose intention is to always please Allah, will try his/her best to follow the footsteps (sunnah) of prophet Muhammad (pbuh). He will try to do things that our prophet encouraged and try to avoid the things that prophet disliked or prohibited.

Based on this understanding, when a Muslim is doing something, he always must think “Is this something that prophet would do?”, “Is it something that prophet would encourage me to do?”. And if the answer to these questions is “No”, then it’s recommended not to proceed with that thing.

So regarding the clip, put yourselves in Sami Yusuf’s place and ask yourselves those two questions. I think the answer is quite clear.

And then they will be gathered to Hell

The Unbelievers spend their wealth to hinder (man) from the path of Allah, and so will they continue to spend; but in the end they will have (only) regrets and sighs; at length they will be overcome: and the Unbelievers will be gathered together to Hell
Quran 8:36

The Words of Allah Almighty explains it best.

And no Muslim should take part in this so called War On Terror.

Eid Mubarak

Assalamu Aleikum Warahmatullah,

Eid Mubarak to you all my Muslim brethren! I hope you will have a great celebration. May Allah SWT accept all our ibadahs and have mercy on us all. Please do not forget the less fortunate and the brothers and sisters who are suffering in many parts of the world.

Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Afganistan, Sudan..etc are all need our help. Please donate some of the money that Allah has given you. We need to remember that Allah is the one Who gives to whoever He wishes. So if you are the one who Allah has bestowed you with good health and some wealth, don’t you think you should be grateful and share your blessings with less fortunate? You may donate at www.muslimhands.org

Zakat nowdays…

It’s also unfortunate that many Muslims have forgotten about the Zakat at all. Please remember that Zakat is one of the 5 compulsory pillars of Islam! Not paying Zakat on your wealth is a great sin.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

“And there are those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in the way of Allah, announce to them a most grievous penalty (when) on the Day of Judgment heat will be produced out of that wealth in the fire of Hell. Then with it they will be branded on their forehead and their flanks and backs. (It will be said to them) This is the treasure which you hoarded for yourselves, taste then the treasure that you have been hoarding.” (Qur’an 9:34-35)

Allah is Most Merciful! He forgives anything if you repent sincerely. So let’s take this opportunity and pray for forgiveness in the Eid prayer. Let’s pray for those who have fought for the sake of Allah and attained the blessing of Allah and became shuhadah. Shahid is something that God choses and not everybody can get it. As we know from the history of the sahabah, Khalid bin Walid who has been named The Sword of Allah, after fighting whole his life, did pass away in his bed. In his last words he said “there is no an inch on my body that is free from scars from the swords, but here i am living my last moment in my bed…” he wanted to attain the status of shahid so much! But he couldn’t get. One of the reason mufassirin say that he was not killed in the battlefield is that, The Sword of Allah is not killed. Therefore Allah made him die a natural death instead. And Allah knows best. May Allah SWT have mercy on all muslims who have stood up and protected the religion of Allah. In the past and today. Ameen.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad at the United Nations

I can say he is the only president in the world that can talk back to US and its allies. And he is the only president who can make dawah at the UN meeting. Even though he is a shia, but he is a lot better than most of the sunni presidents and kings in the world. Because all of them are afraid to be called “terrorists”, for what? For just speaking the truth? US has killed more than a million people on their War on Terror. Who is the real terrorists here? They have no right to label anybody. read more »

The Ultimate Mercy of Allah: Sheikh Anwar Al-Awlaki

Allah is Most Merciful and ramadan is the month of forgiveness, therefore this is the best time to seek Allah’s forgiveness. No matter what sin you did or no matter how many of them you did, if you repent sincerely Allah will Inshallah forgive. Perhaps this short audio lecture from Imam Awlaki can describe Allah’s Mercy better.

The Next Phase of the Middle East War (Iran & Syria)

Confirmed by official statements and military documents, the US in close coordination with Britain (and in consultation with its NATO partners), is planning to launch a war directed against Iran and Syria. US Ambassador to the UN John Bolton has already initiated the draft of a UN Security Council resolution with a view to imposing sanctions on Tehran for its alleged (nonexistent) nuclear weapons program. Whether this resolution is adopted is not the main issue. The US may decide to proceed in defiance of the Security Council, following a veto by Russia and/or China. The vote of France and Britain, among the permanent members has already been secured. read more
